The Steering Committee's core objectives are to:
- Champion the creation of a Strategic Nature Network (SNN) to connect and restore ecosystems across the UK.
- Influence for the establishment of Natural Investment Zones as foundational components of the SNN, driving ecosystem-level restoration and community engagement.
- Promote the reinstatement of natural processes to enhance climate resilience and safeguard biodiversity.
Through thought leadership, policy engagement, and alignment with emerging frameworks, the Rebuilding Nature Steering Committee ensures that nature restoration remains a cornerstone of the UK’s response to the intertwined crises of biodiversity loss and climate change.
